EVALUATION OF THE SOIL-GENERATING THEME AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY PROPOSAL IN THE TEACHING OF CHEMISTRY

Resumo: Interdisciplinarity in Basic Education reflects a need to make knowledge more integrative in the school environment, and it is essential to have an increasingly broader dialogue between the disciplines in this process. This research is based on the theoretical fronts of Vygotsky and Freire, from a dialectical relationship, with the aim of analyzing the perceptions and potentialities of the development of an interdisciplinary methodological practice, through the focus group, involving the disciplines of Geography and Chemistry, from the theme "soils", with the 1st grade high school class of a public high school in Nova Venécia (ES).  Regarding the approach, this is a qualitative research, of the participant type, and the data collected during the focus group discussions went through a categorization process for content analysis purposes. The analysis of the categories identified the need to bring to the student methodologies that lead their learning, contributing to the formation of critical and reflective subjects. Finally, it was found that by using the aforementioned generating theme from an interdisciplinary perspective, it was possible to identify other opportune ways to learn Chemistry.

La presente investigación se basa en los frentes teóricos de Vygotsky y Freire, a partir de una relación dialéctica, para analizar las percepciones y potencialidades del desarrollo de una práctica metodológica interdisciplinaria, a través del grupo focal, involucrando las disciplinas de Geografía y Química, a partir del tema generador "suelos", con la clase de 1º de bachillerato de una escuela pública del municipio de Nova Venécia (ES).  En cuanto al enfoque, se trata de una investigación cualitativa, de tipo participante, y los datos recogidos durante las discusiones de los grupos focales pasaron por un proceso de categorización con fines de análisis de contenido. El análisis de las categorías identificó la necesidad de llevar al estudiante metodologías que conduzcan su aprendizaje, contribuyendo a la formación de sujetos críticos y reflexivos. Por último, se comprobó que al utilizar el mencionado tema generador desde una perspectiva interdisciplinaria, fue posible identificar otras formas oportunas de aprender Química.A interdisciplinaridade na Educação Básica reflete uma necessidade de tornar o conhecimento mais integrativo no ambiente escolar, sendo imprescindível diálogo cada vez mais amplo entre as disciplinas nesse processo. A presente pesquisa se fundamenta nas frentes teóricas de Vygotsky e de Freire, a partir de uma relação dialética, com o objetivo de analisar as percepções e potencialidades do desenvolvimento de uma prática metodológica interdisciplinar, por meio da realização do grupo focal, envolvendo as disciplinas de Geografia e Química, a partir do tema gerador “solos”, com a turma da 1ª série do Ensino Médio de uma escola da rede pública estadual, no município de Nova Venécia (ES).  Em relação à abordagem, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo participante, e os dados coletados durante as discussões do grupo focal passaram por processo de categorização para fins de análise do conteúdo. A análise das categorias identificou a necessidade de levar para o aluno metodologias que protagonizem as aprendizagens deles, contribuindo para a formação de sujeitos críticos e reflexivos.
