Resumo: This article seeks to understand, through a survey of the state of art, what are digital technologies, what is the relationship between digital technologies and the information society, what are the social factors that accompany technological evolution, how digital technologies are Being used in the educational processes and, what are the necessary skills to work with teaching methodologies involving digital technologies. For this purpose, a debate on digital technologies in the teaching-learning process is proposed, making the relationship between the information and knowledge society and the evolutions and revolutions of the 21st century. The conflict of generations between natives and digital immigrants is discussed, highlighting the worrying situation of the emerging countries with the digital excluded, who are also, socially excluded. Finally, the present situation of the use of the educational technologies as a possibility of methodological resource is presented..

Finally, the present situation of the use of the educational technologies as a possibility of methodological resource is presented..Este artigo busca entender, por meio de um levantamento de estado da arte, o que são as tecnologias digitais, qual a relação entre tecnologias digitais e a sociedade da informação, quais são os fatores sociais que acompanham a evolução tecnológica, como as tecnologias digitais estão sendo utilizadas nos processos educacionais e, quais são as habilidades necessárias para se trabalhar com metodologias de ensino envolvendo tecnologias digitais. Para isso propõe-se um debate sobre as tecnologias digitais no processo de ensino e aprendizado fazendo-se a relação entre a sociedade da informação e do conhecimento e as evoluções e revoluções do século XXI. Discute-se o conflito de gerações entre os nativos e imigrantes digitais, destacando a preocupante situação dos países emergentes com os excluídos digitais, que são também, excluídos sociais.
