Resumo: The research seeks to reflect on the trends most used by teachers in science and mathematics teaching, as well as to expose an alternative proposal aimed at mathematics education with an emphasis on geometry in non-formal spaces. The work is the result of an investigation carried out during the course of Fundamentals in Science Teaching of the Academic Master's Degree in Science Education in the Amazon. The objective was to verify how a class with this content could occur using the diversity of Bosque da Ciência. The methodology used was based on the assumptions of the qualitative approach, with a bibliographic survey in Marandino (2002); Miranda, Ribeiro and Trindade (2005); Santos et al (2011), Gil (2008) among others and field research. It is worth mentioning that geometry is considered abstract to be taught only in the classroom and that the use of non-formal spaces for its contextualization can favor practice with the use of active methodologies, which can help in the reflection of praxis in an effective way .

It is worth mentioning that geometry is considered abstract to be taught only in the classroom and that the use of non-formal spaces for its contextualization can favor practice with the use of active methodologies, which can help in the reflection of praxis in an effective way .A pesquisa busca refletir sobre as tendências mais utilizadas pelos professores em ensino de ciências e matemática, bem como, expor uma proposta alternativa voltada para a educação matemática com ênfase na geometria em espaços não formais.
