Resumo: They are in cyberspace and are environments designed to mediate collaborative educational practices. They are Virtual Teaching and Learning Environments - VLEs. However, some virtual environment projects pay little attention to the quality of usability criteria in their interfaces, resulting most of the time in student disinterest, learning difficulties, and dropouts from courses. Given this, the research aimed to investigate the usability of VLE-IPC used for the research line 'Technologies for Education, Dissemination, and Teaching of Science and Mathematics' in the Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education at the Federal University of Amazonas, developed at the Faculty of Education for didactic-pedagogical mediations in the continuing education of education professionals. For this purpose, an ergonomic usability validation was performed using Dominique Scapin and Christian Bastien's checklist. The results showed that the studied VLE-IPC has quality in human-computer interaction, as it is characterized as a simple, intuitive, and flexible interface. This quality is extremely important for the processes of didactic mediations and learning because without it, the entire pedagogical process mediated by a virtual technological resource would be compromised. The existence of usability in the interface of a VLE reflects satisfactorily in the learning processes of its users, and therefore, it is necessary for these criteria to be present in the development of educational projects..

The existence of usability in the interface of a VLE reflects satisfactorily in the learning processes of its users, and therefore, it is necessary for these criteria to be present in the development of educational projects..Ellos están en el ciberespacio y son ambientes desarrollados para mediar prácticas educativas y colaborativas de los Ambientes Virtuales de Enseñanza y Aprendizaje-AVEA.
