Resumo: It is more and more frequent the use of external spaces, in addition to traditional classroom, as supporting tool for teaching Science contents that address natural contents. Our objective was to demonstrate the importance of working with Science teaching in non-formal spaces during the teacher training, using pedagogical practices related to students’ daily lives. This is a qualitative research, held during practical activities at the Lago do Sacado in the city of Ipixuna - AM. Forty-two students participated in this work; they attend the third year in Pedagogy and the discipline “Methodology of Teaching / Learning Science in Early Childhood Education and first grades of Elementary Education”; this discipline is part of the Basic Education Teacher Training Program of the Amazonas State University (Parfor/UEA). The results of this pedagogical experience present the Lago do Sacado as a mean/tool for the study of several themes related to the daily life of the community, bringing moments of reflection, curiosity, and discovery, resulting in a meaningful learning and demonstrating the importance of practices that use non-formal spaces in teachers training, providing training moments that can be applied in the future in their own classes.
