QUADRIC SURFACES AND THE TEACHING OF ANALYTIC GEOMETRY: INTERSECTIONS IN RESEARCH

Resumo: The present work is the result of a discipline offered in a Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching, which sought to explore links between concepts from oth Analytical Geometry and Linear Algebra. Thus, this research focuses on the theme of quadric surfaces, their application on the axis of Analytical Geometry and their possible links with the axis of Linear Algebra. Thus, our objective in this work was to map the productions that contemplated the theme, in order to verify what they bring from Applications and concepts related to quadric surfaces and Analytical Geometry. Whit this, this research is structured as follows: first, we conceptualize the quadric surfaces and their types, emphasizing also one of the possible relations of this theme with Analytical Geometry; Subsequently, we present the mapping performed on two digital thesis and dissertation plataforms in search of productions on the theme of quadrics, as well as the subsequente analysis of these productions. In conclusion, we observe many fragmentations regarding the teaching of mathematics, because when analyzing the productions, we found that the quadric surfaces were not connected to any other concept / content, but was worked individually.

Assim, esta pesquisa se volta ao tema das superfícies quádricas, sua aplicação no eixo da Geometria Analítica e suas possíveis ligações com o eixo da Álgebra Linear. Desse modo, nosso objetivo, neste trabalho, foi mapear as produções que contemplassem o tema, a fim de verificar o que estas trazem de aplicações e conceitos relativos às superfícies quádricas e à Geometria Analítica. Com isso, esta pesquisa está estruturada do seguinte modo: primeiramente, conceituamos as superfícies quádricas e seus tipos, enfatizando, ainda, uma das possíveis relações desse tema com a Geometria Analítica; posteriormente, apresentamos o mapeamento realizado em duas plataformas digitais de teses e dissertações em busca de produções sobre o tema, bem como a posterior análise das referidas produções.
