THE HYPOTHETICAL DEDUCTIVE METHOD IN FUNDAMENTAL EDUCATION: A PRACTICAL PROPOSAL FOR TEACHING NATURAL SCIENCES IN THE THEME OF TRANSPIRATION OF PLANTS

Resumo: | This work presents an experimental class developed in the discipline Instrumentation for Science Teaching, taught in the Master in Science Teaching in the Amazon / UEA. This work aimed to highlight that the Hypothetical Deductive Method (MHD) is a very useful tool in teaching in the field of environmental sciences, since it allows to undo incorrect ideas about the observed or questioned phenomena. According to the MHD, all research is born out of some practical / theoretical problem. It will tell you what is relevant or irrelevant to research and what data should be selected. This selection then requires a hypothesis, which is the conjecture and / or assumption, which will serve as a guide for the researcher. The methodology used was a Didactic Sequence with the use of experimentation with manipulable materials. The investigation was based on the following question: Is it possible to use this research method in the teaching of Natural Sciences in Fundamental Education? Therefore, although the hypothetical-deductive method is little used in educational practices in Science Teaching, the result found in this experimental class demonstrated that the possibility of adapting experiments in general for this method is valid, however, it is important that the teacher has a good understanding of the method so that he can resolve possible doubts and in this process the student also has his hypotheses elucidated according to scientific knowledge. |

Este trabalho objetivou destacar que o Método Hipotético Dedutivo (MHD) é uma ferramenta muito útil no ensino no campo das ciências ambientais, já que ele permite desfazer ideias incorretas acerca dos fenômenos observados ou questionados. De acordo com o MHD toda investigação então nasce de algum problema prático/teórico sentido. É ele que dirá o que é relevante ou irrelevante pesquisar e quais os dados que devem ser selecionados. Esta seleção exige então uma hipótese, que são a conjectura e/ou suposição, que servirá de guia ao pesquisador. A metodologia utilizada foi uma Sequencia Didática com a utilização de experimentação com materiais manipuláveis. A investigação teve como premissa oseguinte questionamento: É possível utilizar este métodode pesquisa no ensino de Ciências Naturais no EnsinoFundamental?
