SYMBOLIC LOGIC IN THE PALM OF THE HAND: THE PROCRIATIVATION OF THE BOOK “THE LOGIC GAME”, BY LEWIS CARROLL, TO AN EDUCATIONAL APPLICATION

Resumo: This article presents research in development, which has, as its main objective, the creation of an app based on “The Game of Logic”, a book published by Lewis Carroll in 1886. Lewis Carroll, better known as the author of “Alice in the country of wonders”, was an enthusiast and scholar of symbolic logic and this book of his is a pedagogical method for teaching it, designed for children. The research under development aims to transform the created game, which originally consists of a board and colored chips, into a mobile application, so that it seems attractive to the current generation of students who live with their cell phones in hand and is available for free. for any teacher who wants to use it in class. The idea of ​​rescuing this methodology created by Carroll is based on discussions of the recognition of the pedagogical potential of this Carrollian work for teaching syllogisms. Thus, the article addresses theoretical conceptions about computational thinking and Carroll's pedagogical relationship with symbolic logic; finally, it presents parts of the game that have already been developed and comments on how it works, in a close relationship between mathematics and digital technologies.

Lewis Carroll, más conocido como el autor de “Alicia en el país de las maravillas”, fue un entusiasta y estudioso de la lógica simbólica y este libro suyo es un método pedagógico para enseñarla, pensado para niños. La investigación en desarrollo pretende transformar el juego creado, que originalmente consta de un tablero y fichas de colores, en una aplicación móvil, de manera que resulte atractivo para la actual generación de estudiantes que viven con el celular en la mano y esté disponible de forma gratuita. para cualquier profesor que quiera usarlo en clase. La idea de rescatar esta metodología creada por Carroll se basa en discusiones sobre el reconocimiento del potencial pedagógico de esta obra carrolliana para la enseñanza de los silogismos. Así, el artículo aborda concepciones teóricas sobre  la relación pedagógica de Carroll con la lógica simbólica; finalmente, presenta partes del juego que ya han sido desarrolladas y comenta su funcionamiento, en una estrecha relación entre las matemáticas y las tecnologías digitales.Este artigo apresenta uma pesquisa em desenvolvimento, a qual tem, como objetivo principal, a criação de um app a partir de O Jogo da Lógica, livro publicado por Lewis Carroll em 1886. Lewis Carroll, mais conhecido como o autor de Alice no País das Maravilhas, foi um entusiasta e estudioso da lógica simbólica e este seu livro é um método pedagógico para seu ensino, elaborado para crianças. A pesquisa em desenvolvimento visa transformar o jogo criado, que originalmente é composto de um tabuleiro e fichas coloridas, em um aplicativo para celular, de modo que ele pareça atraente para a atual geração de alunos que vive com o celular em mãos e esteja disponível gratuitamente para qualquer professor que o deseje utilizar em aula. A ideia de resgatar esta metodologia criada por Carroll se alicerça nas discussões do reconhecimento da potencialidade pedagógica dessa obra carrolliana para o ensino de silogismos e em algumas discussões atuais sobre gamificação.
