Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the implementation of a didactic sequence with students of 9th grade of elementary school with the content of Falling Bodies. The didactic investigation of this phenomenon becomes important because it is invariably present in people's daily lives, but it is interpreted by common sense and Aristotelian view that the weight of a body is responsible for its speed during the fall. The sequence was structured in the dynamics of the Three Pedagogical Moments (3MP) seeking to develop the theme with problematizing and contextualized situations, aiming at the Scientific Literacy of those involved. The study is characterized as a pedagogical intervention research. The proposed activities involved problem situations, experiments, videos and texts that allow the understanding of the theme. Observation of several learning indicators attested that the activities developed provided the development of Scientific Literacy. From these results, the importance of active teaching-learning methodologies that seek to develop critical thinking in science teaching was discussed.
