Resumo: | Science Teaching pedagogical practice, from early childhood, may promote more children engagement with the reality of science. This practice is presented as a playful and interdisciplinary curriculum proposal using active methodology systematically. Thus, in this work, aiming to encourage scientific literacy in elementary teaching, a didactic sequence themed Nature Transformation was elaborated, focusing on 4 elements: butterfly, earthworm, ants and a terrarium in which students had to observe, problematize, plan the task and experiment with knowledge, assessing these steps. The application of this strategy proved to be significantly positive as children, teachers and school managers demonstrated interest and engagement doing the proposed tasks. The results highlight the possibility of including scientific literacy and active methodology into Elementary Education curriculum. |
