PEDAGOGICAL GAMES AS A TOOL TO ELUCIATE THE BASIC PROPERTIES OF THE DNA MOLECULE

Resumo: The teaching of genetics is a big challenge faced by high school biology teachers, since there are many abstract concepts, elucidation of molecular processes and interpretation of flat figures. With the purpose of developing the playful side and energizing the context of molecular genetics, this project has as a goal evaluate an investigative didactics sequence based on active learning methods, like the learning based on games and the use of digital communication technologies (TDIC). The methodological processes were divided in two complementary stages, The methodological processes were divided into two complementary steps, the first step is about the chemical composition of the nucleic acids, and on the second step, the processes of duplication of the DNA and the protein synthesis are approached, with problematization, systematization, contextualization and conclusion phases. On these stages, students learned molecular genetics using digital games and investigative teaching. The research was developed in a public school in the town of Nova Mutum /MT, with 44 enrolled students in the third year of high school and evaluated by 22 biology teachers that work in high school. The analysis of the results were  mixed character (qualitative/ quantitative) and it was evaluated by the use of four basic teaching games of molecular genetics. The results before and after it, displayed satisfactory learning indexes from the students, and good indexes from the teachers evaluationDuring the development of the research, it was noticeable the students protagonism in the process of teaching-learning, their interest and esteem for genetics.

Con el propósito de trabajar el lúdico y dinamizar el contexto de la genética molecular, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar una secuencia didáctica investigativa basada en métodos de aprendizaje activo, como el aprendizaje basado en juegos y el uso de tecnologías de comunicación digital. Los procesos metodológicos se dividieron en dos pasos complementarios, el paso 1 trata de la composición química de los ácidos nucleicos y el paso 2 aborda los procesos de duplicación del ADN y síntesis de proteínas, con fases de problematización, sistematización, contextualización y conclusión. Los alumnos aprendieron Genética Molecular a través de juegos digitales y docencia investigativa. La investigación fue realizada en una escuela pública del municipio de Nova Mutum/MT, con 44 alumnos matriculados en el 3º año de la enseñanza media y evaluados por 22 profesores de Biología que actúan en la enseñanza media. El análisis de los resultados mostró un carácter mezclado (cualitativo/cuantitativo) y se evaluó el uso de cuatro juegos en la enseñanza básica de la Genética Molecular, los resultados del pre-test y post-test identificaron índices satisfactorios en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes y buenos índices en la evaluación. de los docentes, durante el desarrollo de la investigación, se puede observar el protagonismo de los estudiantes en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, su interés y aprecio por la genética.O ensino de Genética é um grande desafio encontrado pelos professores de Biologia do Ensino Médio, pois depende de conceitos abstratos, elucidação de processos moleculares e interpretação de figuras planas. Com o propósito de trabalhar o lúdico e dinamizar o contexto da genética molecular, este trabalho teve como objetivo produzir e avaliar uma sequência didática investigativa fundamentada nos métodos de aprendizagem ativos, como a aprendizagem baseada em jogos e a utilização das tecnologias digitais de comunicação. Os processos metodológicos foram divididos em duas etapas complementares, a etapa 1 versa sobre a composição química dos ácidos nucleicos e na etapa 2, são abordados os processos de duplicação do DNA e a síntese de proteínas, com fases de problematização, sistematização, contextualização e conclusão. Nestas fases os estudantes aprenderam Genética Molecular, por meio de jogos digitais e ensino investigativo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em uma escola de rede pública no município de Nova Mutum/MT, com 44 estudantes matriculados no 3º Ano do Ensino Médio. A avaliação da sequência didática foi feita por 22 professores de Biologia que atuam na Ensino Médio. A análise dos resultados foi de caráter misto (qualitativa/quantitativa), sendo avaliado a utilização de quatro jogos abordando conteúdos de Genética Molecular. Os resultados pré e pós teste, identificaram índices satisfatórios na aprendizagem dos estudantes e bons índices na avaliação dos professores.
