SCIENCE/CHEMISTRY EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC LITERACY IN THE CITIZEN’S DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVE: FEATURES AND TENDENCY OF NATIONAL RESEARCHES

Resumo: | The current investigation minds presenting a research that is linked to the identification of dissertations and thesis which are about scientific literacy on the field of Chemistry’s Education before citizen’s development. The central quote is associated to the way scientific literacy is portrayed in studying. The goal is to map the academic production of the mentioned themes, observing the features, particularities and limitations of the researches. The approach of the study is qualitative and state of knowledge type, the locus was the bank of thesis and dissertations from Capes and 18 productions were selected. As result, it’s pointed out the existence of researches with the investigated theme, however, from the perspective of instigating the debate around the new High School’s proposal and the possibility of inserting the young citizens in the labor market, it’s possible to realize the necessity of expanding the studies in a way that the Science/Chemistry Education overcomes the formation of the young to reproduce techniques or enjoy technology. In this perspective, the study defends the importance of appealing to the work of Gérard Fourez and promoting reflections that make a more humanized education and more guided to the development of citizens. |

A questão central está associada ao modo como a alfabetização científica é retratada nos estudos. Como objetivo tem-se o de mapear a produção acadêmica nos temas mencionados, observando as características, especificidades e limitações dessas pesquisas. O estudo de abordagem qualitativa e do tipo estado do conhecimento, tomou como lócus o banco de teses e dissertações da Capes e selecionou 18 produções. Como resultado é apontado a existência de pesquisas na temática investigada, entretanto, na perspectiva de fomentar o debate entorno do novo ensino médio e da possibilidade de inserir os jovens no mercado de trabalho, percebe-se a necessidade de ampliar os estudos de modo que o ensino de Química/Ciências ultrapasse o de formar jovens para reproduzir técnicas ou usufruir tecnologia.
