Resumo: This research, of an exploratory and qualitative nature, is the result of the conclusion work of the Mathematics Licentiate course and aims to understand if the manipulative process provides learning about the content of 2nd degree equations, that is, if it favors the understanding of strategies of solving quadratic equations. This article refers to the theoretical part of the work, which was carried out using as a source of research the scientific productions found on the Google Scholar platform and in the events of the Encontro Nacional de Educação Matemática - ENEM. At the end of the collection, reading and analysis of the articles found, we came to the conclusion that the golden beads favors the teaching and learning process of the content of quadratic equations.

Este artículo se refiere a la parte teórica del trabajo, que se realizó utilizando como fuente de investigación las producciones científicas encontradas en la plataforma Google Scholar y en los eventos del Encontro Nacional de Educação Matemática - ENEM. Al finalizar la recolección, lectura y análisis de los artículos encontrados llegamos a la conclusión que el material dorado favorece el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje del contenido de las ecuaciones cuadráticas.Esta pesquisa, de caráter exploratório e cunho qualitativo, é fruto do trabalho de conclusão do curso de Matemática Licenciatura, e tem por objetivo compreender se o processo manipulativo proporciona aprendizagem sobre o conteúdo de equações do 2º grau, ou seja, se favorece a compreensão das estratégias de resolução de equações quadráticas. O presente artigo se refere à parte teórica do trabalho, que foi realizada usando como fontes de pesquisa as produções científicas encontradas na plataforma Google Acadêmico e nos eventos do Encontro Nacional de Educação Matemática – ENEM.
