ROLE-PLAYING GAME FOR MATHEMATICS TEACHING: A BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW IN STRICTO SENSU RESEARCH)

Resumo: This research is a theoretical construction that aims to reflect on the Role-playing Game (RPG) as a methodology for teaching mathematical concepts, with Basic Education students as its target audience. We utilized as a research environment the catalog of theses and dissertations from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) platform, searching for the expression 'RPG' and its variations. We added filters for 'exact sciences' and 'mathematics' to refine the results. In this way we were able to identify six publications that address the theme of RPG for teaching mathematics in their title or summary. The research analyzes received a qualitative treatment, through a critical reading. The presented research outlines methodological characteristics that positively situate RPG in the organization of pedagogical proposals for teaching mathematics.

Se ha utilizado como entorno de investigación el catálogo de tesis y disertaciones de la plataforma Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior (CAPES), buscando la expresión “RPG” y sus variaciones, sumados a los filtros “ciencias exactas” y 'matemáticas', para que pudiéramos perfeccionar los resultados. Así, de esta manera hemos podido encontrar seis publicaciones que abordan en su título, o resumen, la temática de los RPG para la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Los análisis de la investigación han recibido un tratamiento cualitativo, a través de una lectura crítica. La investigación presentada nos enseña características metodológicas que sitúan positivamente al RPG en la organización de propuestas pedagógicas para la enseñanza de las matemáticas.A presente pesquisa é uma construção teórica que busca refletir sobre o Role-playing Game (RPG) como metodologia para o ensino de objetos de conhecimentos matemáticos, tendo como público-alvo estudantes da Educação Básica. Utilizamos como ambiente de pesquisa o catálogo de teses e dissertações da plataforma de Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), em busca da expressão “RPG” e suas variações, somada aos filtros “ciências exatas” e “matemática” para podermos refinar os resultados. Assim, desse modo conseguimos encontrar seis publicações que abordam em seu título, ou resumo, a temática do RPG para o ensino da matemática. As análises das pesquisas receberam um tratamento qualitativo, por meio de uma leitura crítica.
