Resumo: The present study aimed to analyze the contributions of using an investigative didactic sequence in learning about Environmental Education in the Teaching of Youth and Adults. The research site was the 6 de Agosto Youth and Adult Education Center, in the municipality of Pontes e Lacerda-MT. Environmental Education can be worked on any of the curricular components and not only in Biology, Natural Sciences or Geography. Youth and Adult Education came to supply the right to education for many citizens who, for various reasons, were unable to study when they were younger. Investigative teaching brings a new guise in the teaching methodology, because the student is encouraged to seek answers, thus making him interested in the content presented. In a didactic sequence, the content follows an order of activities, which can be elaborated according to the complexity of the subject in hours / classes, being a great option for use by teachers. The research had a qualitative approach, with the perspective of participatory-action-research. The participation of students in the entire process of the didactic sequence was very significant and they will certainly take this knowledge to their family and friends. At the end of the application, we observed that the development of the didactic sequence appropriate to the modality of young people and adults, with their different time periods, provided conditions for the study of environmental education in order to guarantee a vast learning for students.
