STATISTICAL ASSOCIATION BETWEEN CHOICE OF OPERATION IN MULTIPLICATIVE QUESTIONS WITH NATURAL NUMBERS AND WITH DECIMAL NUMBERS

Resumo: During the studies of solving mathematical questions, it is common for the teacher to be asked questions such as: 'Is this count of times or is it to be divided?', 'It says he divided, so is it to be divided?', 'It is written that she tripled, so the account is to be multiplied?'. The answers given by the teacher do not always satisfy the student's need. This article presents the results of a doctoral research in which additive questions, multiplicative questions and socio-educational questions were analyzed. For this article, a cut was made for the analysis of multiplicative questions and the objective was to analyze whether the ability to choose the operation in multiplicative questions that involve decimal numbers is statistically associated with the ability to choose the operation in multiplicative questions that involve natural numbers. To achieve this objective, we opted for the use of tests as a research methodological instrument to guide the investigation and the statistical analysis performed using the Chi-Square association test. The results indicate that if the student correctly chooses the operation in multiplicative questions with natural numbers, both arithmetic and algebraic, he also tends to correctly choose the operation in multiplicative questions with decimal numbers, both arithmetic and algebraic.

Las respuestas que da el profesor no siempre satisfacen la necesidad del alumno. Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación doctoral en la que se analizaron cuestiones aditivas, multiplicativas y socioeducativas. Para este artículo se hizo un corte para el análisis de las preguntas multiplicativas y el objetivo fue analizar si la habilidad de elegir la operación en preguntas multiplicativas que involucran números decimales se asocia estadísticamente con la habilidad de elegir la operación en preguntas multiplicativas que involucran naturales. números. Para lograr este objetivo, se optó por el uso de pruebas como instrumento metodológico de investigación para orientar la investigación y el análisis estadístico realizado mediante la prueba de asociación Chi-Cuadrado. Los resultados indican que si el alumno elige correctamente la operación en preguntas multiplicativas con números naturales, tanto aritméticos como algebraicos, también tiende a elegir correctamente la operación en preguntas multiplicativas con números decimales, tanto aritméticos como algebraicos.Durante os estudos de resolução de questões matemáticas, é comum o professor ser indagado por perguntas como: ‘Essa conta é de vezes ou é de dividir?’, ‘Diz que ele dividiu, então é de dividir?’, ‘Está escrito que ela triplicou, então a conta é de multiplicar?’. As respostas dadas pelo professor nem sempre satisfazem a necessidade do estudante. Esse artigo traz os resultados de uma pesquisa de doutoramento em que foram analisadas questões aditivas, questões multiplicativas e questões socioeducacionais. Para esse artigo, foi realizado o recorte para a análise das questões multiplicativas, e o objetivo foi analisar se a habilidade de escolha da operação em questões multiplicativas que envolvem números decimais está associada estatisticamente à habilidade de escolha da operação em questões multiplicativas que envolvem números naturais. Para atingir esse objetivo, optou-se pelo uso de testes como instrumento metodológico de pesquisa para nortear a investigação e a análise estatística realizada por meio do teste de associação Qui-Quadrado.
