MATHEMATIZATION AND CONNECTION OF BIOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS IN FOCUS: classroom practices

Resumo: This article discusses the connection between Biology and Mathematics, considering the pedagogical practice, through a literature review based on the search for productions that describe situations in the relationship of Biology and Mathematics, considering effective practices based on this relationship, used to enhance the teaching of genetics content in basic education. Data collection was performed using the USP Digital Library – Theses and Dissertations, UNESP Collection and Portal de Periódicos Capes/MEC databases for research, within a time frame between the years 2010 to 2020. The results point out that there is a lack of research focusing on the relationship of these two curricular units associated with teaching and learning practices. It is observed the importance of the connection between Biology and Mathematics in teaching and learning situations and the relevance of seeking for the student to be autonomous, reflective in their learning process.

La recolección de datos se realizó utilizando la Biblioteca Digital de la USP - Tesis y Disertaciones, Colección UNESP y las bases de datos del Portal de Periódicos Capes / MEC para la investigación, en un período de tiempo comprendido entre los años 2010 a 2020. Los resultados señalan que existe una falta de focalización de la investigación sobre la relación de estas dos unidades curriculares asociadas a las prácticas de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Se observa la importancia de la conexión entre Biología y Matemáticas en situaciones de enseñanza y aprendizaje y la relevancia de buscar que el alumno sea autónomo, reflexivo en su proceso de aprendizaje.Este artigo problematiza a conexão da Biologia e da Matemática, considerando a prática pedagógica, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica a partir da busca de produções que descrevem situações da relação da Biologia e da Matemática, considerando práticas efetivas pautadas nessa relação, utilizadas para potencializar principalmente o ensino de conteúdos de Genética na educação básica. A coleta de dados foi realizada utilizando-se para a pesquisa as bases de dados: Biblioteca digital USP – Teses e Dissertações, Acervo UNESP e no Portal de Periódicos Capes/MEC, dentro de um recorte temporal entre os anos de 2010 a 2020. Os resultados apontam existir escassez de pesquisas com foco na relação destas duas unidades curriculares associadas a práticas de ensino e aprendizagem.
