EXPERIMENTATION AS A CULTURAL TOOL IN INITIAL TRAINING OF CHEMISTRY TEACHERS

Resumo: This article discusses the influence of extracurricular teaching projects on the concepts of experimentation in supervised curricular internship activities of undergraduates in chemistry at a public university in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Based on the sociocultural concept of a cultural tool, we describe how the undergraduates internalized the concepts about experimentation, in a more didactic or technical direction. Based on Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA), the speeches of undergraduates in a seminar presentation were analyzed from emerging categories. We observed that undergraduate students who participated in extracurricular teaching projects at graduation presented most of their speeches in categories considered didactic. In a similar way, undergraduates who participated in the second year of supervised curricular internship also presented more speeches directed to didactic aspects, compared to undergraduates still in the first year of internship. With this, we found that the participation of undergraduates in supervised curricular internships and extracurricular teaching projects significantly modifies their conceptions in a didactic direction.

Partiendo del concepto sociocultural de herramienta cultural, describimos cómo los estudiantes interiorizaron los conceptos sobre la experimentación, en una dirección más didáctica o técnica. Con base en el Análisis Textual Discursivo (ATD), se analizaron los discursos de los estudiantes universitarios en una presentación de seminario a partir de categorías emergentes. Observamos que los estudiantes de pregrado que participaron en proyectos docentes extracurriculares en la graduación presentaron la mayoría de sus discursos en categorías consideradas didácticas. De manera similar, los estudiantes de grado que participaron en el segundo año de prácticas curriculares supervisadas también presentaron más discursos dirigidos a los aspectos didácticos, en comparación con los estudiantes de grado que aún están en el primer año de prácticas. Con esto, encontramos que la participación de los estudiantes de grado en prácticas curriculares supervisadas y proyectos docentes extracurriculares modifica significativamente sus concepciones en una dirección didáctica.Este artigo aborda a influência de projetos extracurriculares de ensino sobre as concepções de experimentação em atividades de estágio curricular supervisionado de licenciandos em química de uma universidade pública do interior do estado de São Paulo. Fundamentados na concepção sociocultural de ferramenta cultural, descrevemos de que maneira os licenciandos internalizaram as concepções sobre experimentação, em uma direção mais didática ou técnica. Com base na Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD), analisaram-se as falas dos licenciandos em uma apresentação de seminário a partir de categorias emergentes. Observamos que os licenciandos que participaram de projetos extracurriculares de ensino na graduação apresentaram a maior parte de suas falas em categorias consideradas didáticas. De maneira semelhante, licenciandos que participavam do segundo ano de estágio curricular supervisionado também apresentaram mais falas direcionadas a aspectos didáticos, comparado a licenciandos ainda no primeiro ano de estágio.
