O ensino superior em Turismo : humano ou mercado?

Resumo: A partir da criação do ensino superior em Turismo no Brasil, na década de 1970, surgiram algumas discussões em relação à formação do aluno e sua atuação no mercado de trabalho. No entanto, há vários pontos educativos significantes antes mesmo do aspecto da empregabilidade, A preparação dos alunos, as ações do professorado na área de pesquisa e extensão e a necessidade do pensamento crítico são premissas que podem fundamentar tal curso enquanto prática educacional libertadora. Esses são os questionamentos debatidos nessa pesquisa que objetivou entender as perspectivas docente e discente, no curso de Bacharelado em Turismo, diante da relação de ensino-aprendizagem e seus aspectos essenciais, em uma visão mais ampla e menos fragmentada entre a dicotomia realçada entre o mercado de trabalho e o pensamento crítico científico. Conclui-se que o debate acadêmico quanto à educação no Turismo ainda se dissocia apenas entre os interesses do mercado e as discussões humanas, não havendo uma integração profunda na relação de ensino-aprendizagem.

However, there are several significant educational points even before the appearance of the employability. The preparing of pupils, the actions of the professorship in the areas of research and extension areas and the need for critical thinking are assumptions that may underlie such a course while liberating educational practice. These are the questions discussed in this research that aimed to understand the perspectives of the student body and the teaching staff, in the bachelor course of tourism, in face of the relationship between teaching-learning and its essential aspects, in a broader and less fragmented view among the highlighted dichotomy between the labor market and the critical scientific thoughts.
