Resumo: No presente trabalho defende-se que a orientação sexual constitui âmbito de proteção integral prevista na normativa internacional dos direitos humanos da criança, o que impõe ao Estado e à sociedade o desenvolvimento de ações e políticas que tenham por objetivo promover discussões sobre diversidade sexual e direitos sexuais como mecanismo de prevenção e enfrentamento às violências dessa natureza.
