Resumo: | The thesis The samba in the School and the School in the Samba - configurations of a popular integral education had as main objective to understand the contribution of art/education, from the perspective of popular education, to enable a popular integral education that generates sociocultural participation. The study is justified both by the comprehensiveness of Integral Education, art/education and Popular Education in the national territory, as well as by the need to reflect on the bases being built for the expansion of the fulltime public school of Integral Education in interface with the art / education. The question about the contribution of art/education to integral education towards the configuration of a popular educational practice favorable to the processes of sociocultural participation constitutes the problem issue of research. The work with a qualitative approach results from the case study in two different educational spaces: one, the public school, Monsenhor João Coutinho Municipal School (EMMJC), and the other, the Samba School, Império do Samba Cultural Association (ACIS), both located in the Roger neighborhood, in the city of João Pessoa-PB. The study emphasizes three fields of ideas: 1) enlargement and re-signification of the time and the space of the public school recognizing the educational territory as a democratic extension; 2) art as a sociocultural mediator; 3) the need for the socialization of art conditioned to the production of artistic-aesthetic knowledge, intended in Popular Education and Popular Culture mode. The intersection of ideas that simultaneously articulate Art/Education and Integral Education, based on the foundations and principles of Popular Education, starting with the Freirean ideology, sets up, in this thesis, what is called Popular Integral Education. This approach is based on the thoughts of Paulo Freire, Ana M. Barbosa and Nestor G. Canclini in reciprocity with Carlos Rodrigues Brandão, Antônio Gramsci, Moacir Gadotti and Jaqueline Moll. Between conflicts and contradictions, it is understood that the educational practices of art/education, that occurred in the researched case-units, have approximations with the proper meaning of popular education since they are situated in an unjust social order to the popular classes; in an education of the public teaching, aiming at - even in a fragile way - for a political project of democratic management constituted by subjects of the school and the community, based on the public power; in a community organization of social educators that have the resident culture based on the accumulation of popular power; etc. The research points to some advances and achievements from the point of view of the legal framework and the expansion of the number of full-time schools in the public school of the municipality of João Pessoa, emphasizing that: the perspective of Integral Education is still a challenge at stake; the investigated territory is strongly identified by an artistic-cultural protagonism that is marked by the aesthetics of the culture of tradition; the mobilization of Roger's popular culture contributes to a greater integration between the school culture and the artistic groups of the community culture, increasing the participation of children and young people of the popular class to the movements of artistic culture of their territory. This understanding favors the theoretical and scientific support to the thesis that art/education linked to the conception of integral popular education has a strong power to stimulate socio-cultural participation. |

El estudio se justifica tanto por enlazar la educación integral, del arte/educación y de la Educación Popular en el territorio nacional, cuanto por la necesidad de reflexionar sobre las bases que están siendo construidas para el alargamiento de la escuela pública de Educación Integral en tiempo integral en interfaz con el arte/educación. La cuestión sobre el arte/educación a la educación integral para la configuración de uma práctica educativa popular favorable a los procesos de participación sociocultural se constituye como la cuestión problema de la investigación. El trabajo con abordaje cualitativo resulta del estudio de caso en dos distintos espacios educativos: uno, la escuela pública, Escola Municipal Monsenhor João Coutinho (EMMJC), y el otro, la Escola de Samba, Associação Cultural Império do Samba (ACIS), ambos ubicados en el barrio Roger, en la ciudad de João Pessoa – PB. El estudio hace hincapié en tres campos de ideas: 1) Ampliación y resignificación del tiempo y del espacio de la escuela pública reconociendo el territorio educativo como ampliación; 2) El arte como mediadora sociocultural; 3) Necesidad de la socialización del arte bajo la producción del conocimiento artístico-estético, pensada a la forma de la Educación Popular y de la Cultura Popular. La intersección de ideas que articulan simultaneamente, Arte/Educación y Educación Integral a partir de los fundamentos y principios de la Educación Popular, a empezar por el ideario freireano, se hace, en esta tesis, lo que se denomina de Educacióm Integral Popular, un abordaje fundamentado en el pensamiento de Paulo Freire, Ana M. Barbosa y Nestor G. Canclini en reciprocidad con Carlos Rodrigues Brandão, Antônio Gramsci, Moacir Gadotti y Jaqueline Moll. Entre conflictos y contradicciones, se comprende que las prácticas educativas de arte/educación, ourridas en las unidades-caso investigadas, guardan aproximaciones con el sentido propio de la educación popular, una vez que están ubicadas en un orden social injusto a las clases populares; en una educación de la enseñanza pública, señalando – aunque fragilmente – para un proyecto político de gestión democrática constituida por sujetos de la escuela y de la comunidad teniendo como base el poder público; en una organización comunitaria de educadores sociales teniendo la cultura residente como base de acumulación de poder popular; etc. La investigación señala algunos avances y conquistas desde el punto de vista del marco legal y de la ampliación del número de escuelas de tiempo integral en la red pública de enseñanza del municipio de João Pessoa, reafirmando que: la perspectiva de la Educación Integral aun es un desafio puesto en causa. El territorio investigado es fuertemente identificado por un protagonismo artístico-cultural marcado por la estética de la cultura de la tradicción; la mobilización de la cultura popular residente en Roger contribuye para más grande integración entre la cultura escolar y los grupos artísticos de la cultura comunitaria, alargando la participación de niños y jóvenes de la clase popular a los movimientos de cultura artística de su territorio. Esse entendimiento favorece la sustentación teórico-científica a la tesis de que el arte/educación vinculados a la concepción de educación integral popular ejerce fuerte poder de estimular la participación sociocultural.NenhumaA tese O samba na Escola e a Escola no Samba - configurações de uma educação integral popular teve como objetivo central compreender a contribuição da arte/educação, na perspectiva da educação popular, para possibilitar uma educação integral popular geradora de participação sociocultural. O estudo se justifica tanto pela abrangência da Educação Integral, da arte/educação e da Educação Popular no território nacional, quanto pela necessidade de refletir sobre as bases que estão sendo construídas para a ampliação da escola pública de Educação Integral em tempo integral em interface com a arte/educação. A indagação sobre a contribuição da arte/educação à educação integral para a configuração de uma prática educativa popular favoráveis aos processos de participação sociocultural se constitui como a questão problema da investigação. O trabalho com abordagem qualitativa resulta do estudo de caso em dois distintos espaços educativos: um, a escola pública, Escola Municipal Monsenhor João Coutinho (EMMJC), e o outro, a Escola de Samba, Associação Cultural Império do Samba (ACIS), ambos localizados no bairro Roger, na cidade de João Pessoa-PB. O estudo salienta três campos de ideias: 1) ampliação e ressignificação do tempo e do espaço da escola pública reconhecendo o território educativo como ampliação democrática; 2) a arte como mediadora sociocultural; 3) necessidade da socialização da arte condicionada à produção do conhecimento artístico-estético, pensada à maneira da Educação Popular e da Cultura Popular. O cruzamento de ideias que articulam, simultaneamente, Arte/Educação e Educação Integral a partir dos fundamentos e princípios da Educação Popular, a começar pelo ideário freireano, configura, nesta tese, o que se denomina de Educação Integral Popular, uma abordagem fundamentada no pensamento de Paulo Freire, Ana M. Barbosa e Nestor G. Canclini em reciprocidade com Carlos Rodrigues Brandão, Antônio Gramsci, Moacir Gadotti e Jaqueline Moll. Entre conflitos e contradições, compreende-se que as práticas educativas de arte/educação, ocorridas nas unidades-caso pesquisadas, guardam aproximações com o sentido próprio da educação popular uma vez que estão situadas em uma ordem social injusta às classes populares; em uma educação do ensino público, acenando – mesmo que fragilmente – para um projeto político de gestão democrática constituída por sujeitos da escola e da comunidade, tendo como base o poder público; em uma organização comunitária de educadores sociais tendo a cultura residente como base de acumulação de poder popular; etc. A pesquisa aponta alguns avanços e conquistas do ponto de vista do marco legal e da ampliação do número de escolas de tempo integral na rede pública de ensino do município de João Pessoa, salientando que: a perspectiva da Educação Integral ainda é um desafio posto em causa; o território investigado é fortemente identificado por um protagonismo artísticocultural marcado pela estética da cultura da tradição; a mobilização da cultura popular residente no Roger contribui para maior integração entre a cultura escolar e os grupos artísticos da cultura comunitária, ampliando a participação de crianças e jovens da classe popular aos movimentos de cultura artística do seu território.
