A resiliência informacional no contexto da homofobia: o papel das práticas informacionais no espaço LGBT de João Pessoa-PB

Resumo: It analyzes if/how the informational practices constituted in the State Center of Reference for the Rights of LGBTQIA+ and facing the LGBTQIAphobia of Paraíba, Pedro Alves de Souza (Espaço LGBT Pedrinho), in João Pessoa, have contributed to the construction of informational resilience in the face of the context of homophobia. This is a qualitative and descriptive study. The sociodemographic questionnaire and the semi-structured interview are used for data collection. Data analysis was performed using the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method regarding the difficulties experienced and alternative informational strategies created in the construction of the informational resilience process in the face of homophobia. It is observed how the informational challenges faced by the participating subjects hampered the process of recognition for their sexual orientation and how the interaction with the Espaço LGBT of João Pessoa enabled the development of daily informational practices and, consequently, the promotion of informational resilience. It is concluded that the informational environment through the informational strategies developed in the fight against LGBTQIAphobia and in the guarantee of civil rights for the LGBTQIA+ population presents itself as a mediator, producer and sharer of information, which contributed to the decision-making of the participants in facing the homophobia and other LGBTQIA+ contexts.

Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa e descritiva. Utiliza-se para coleta dos dados o questionário sociodemográfico e a entrevista semiestruturada. A análise dos dados foi realizada pelo método do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC) a respeito das dificuldades vivenciadas e estratégias informacionais alternativas criadas na construção do processo de resiliência informacional diante da homofobia. Observa-se como os desafios informacionais enfrentados pelos sujeitos participantes dificultaram o processo de reconhecimento pela sua orientação sexual e como a interação com o Espaço LGBT de João Pessoa possibilitou o desenvolvimento de práticas informacionais cotidianas e, consequentemente, a promoção da resiliência informacional.
