Repercussões na saúde mental de discentes de Graduação e Pós-graduação no contexto da pandemia

Resumo: | Introduction: In early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was decreed, caused by the SARS COV-2 virus, with high transmissibility and diversity in causing mild to severe clinical manifestations, in addition to economic, social, cultural and emotional damage. Such circumstances can affect the mental health of students, thus favoring illness. Objective: To analyze the repercussions of restrictive measures during the remote period for the mental health of undergraduate and graduate students, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodological Path: Descriptive research, with a quantitative approach and secondary basis. The snowball technique was used, from the sending of the instrument elaborated in Google Forms, via email and through the social network Whatsapp, to the student representatives of the undergraduate and graduate nursing classes at the Federal University of Paraíba. , in the period 04/28/2020 to 08/05/2020. The sample consisted of 206 nursing students after using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Science software, version 26.0 and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The ethical precepts established in Resolution 466/2012 and 510/2016 of the National Health Council were respected. Results: It was found that the students showed significant changes in their routines, of which 65 (31.6%) performed physical activity at times; 72 (35.0%) were eating more food than usual; 65 (31.6%) had a regular sleep pattern. In the aspects of life, about those who pointed out the interference of social distancing, 74 (50.7%) reported in the physical area; 129 (88.4%) in the emotional context; and 99 (67.8%) in the social area; also the self-assessment of mental status was in the bad category. Regarding the feelings arising from social restriction, for 46 (31.5%), staying at home was stressful and distressing. Conclusions: The students showed changes in the physical, social and emotional areas resulting from the period of social isolation. It is recommended that managers, teachers and the like reflect and make possible individual and collective strategies, in order to improve the mental health of students. |

Tales circunstancias pueden afectar la salud mental de los estudiantes, favoreciendo así la enfermedad. Objetivo: Analizar las repercusiones de las medidas restrictivas durante el período remoto para la salud mental de estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado, en el contexto de la pandemia de Covid-19. Ruta Metodológica: Investigación descriptiva, con enfoque cuantitativo y base secundaria. Se utilizó la técnica de la bola de nieve, a partir del envío del instrumento elaborado en Google Forms, por correo electrónico y a través de la red social Whatsapp, a los representantes estudiantiles de las clases de graduación y posgrado en enfermería de la Universidad Federal de Paraíba, en el período 04/ 28/2020 al 05/08/2020. La muestra estuvo conformada por 206 estudiantes de enfermería luego de aplicar criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el Statistical Package for the Social Science software, versión 26.0 y analizados mediante estadística descriptiva. Se respetaron los preceptos éticos establecidos en la Resolución 466/2012 y 510/2016 del Consejo Nacional de Salud. Resultados: Se constató que los estudiantes presentaron cambios significativos en sus rutinas, de los cuales 65 (31,6%) realizaban actividad física en algún momento; 72 (35,0%) estaban comiendo más de lo habitual; 65 (31,6%) tenían un patrón de sueño regular. En los aspectos de la vida, de los que mencionaron interferencia del distanciamiento social, 74 (50,7%) relataron en el área física; 129 (88,4%) en el contexto emocional; y 99 (67,8%) en el área social; también la autoevaluación del estado mental estaba en la categoría mala. En cuanto a los sentimientos derivados de la restricción social, para 46 (31,5%), quedarse en casa fue estresante y angustioso. Conclusiones: Los estudiantes mostraron cambios en las áreas física, social y emocional producto del período de aislamiento social. Se recomienda que directivos, docentes y afines reflexionen y posibiliten estrategias individuales y colectivas, con el fin de mejorar la salud mental de los estudiantes.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESIntrodução: No início de 2020, foi decretada a pandemia pela COVID-19, ocasionada pelo vírus SARS-COV-2, com alta transmissibilidade e diversidade em provocar manifestações clínicas de brandas a severas, além de danos econômicos, sociais, culturais e emocionais. Tais circunstâncias podem repercutir na saúde mental de discentes, favorecendo, assim, o adoecimento. Objetivo: Analisar as repercussões das medidas restritivas durante o período remoto para a saúde mental de discentes de graduação e pós-graduação, no contexto da pandemia de Covid-19. Percurso Metodológico: Pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa e de base secundária. Utilizou-se a técnica de bola de neve, a partir do envio do instrumento elaborado no Google Forms, via e-mail e pela rede social Whatsapp, aos representantes discentes das turmas de graduação e de pós-graduação em enfermagem da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, no período 28/04/2020 a 05/08/2020. A amostra foi composta por 206 discentes de enfermagem após a utilização de critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Os dados foram processados no software Statistical Package for the Social Science, versão 26.0 e analisados mediante estatística descritiva. Foram respeitados os preceitos éticos estabelecidos na Resolução 466/ 2012 e 510/2016 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde. Resultados: Verificou-se que os discentes apresentaram mudanças significativas nas rotinas, dos quais 65 (31,6%) realizavam atividade física às vezes; 72 (35,0%) estavam ingerindo mais alimentos do que o habitual; 65 (31,6%) tinha padrão de sono regular. Nos aspectos da vida, sobre os que apontaram interferência do distanciamento social, tem-se que 74 (50,7%) relataram na área física; 129 (88,4%) no contexto emocional; e 99 (67,8%) na área social; também a autoavaliação do estado mental esteve na categoria ruim. No que tange aos sentimentos advindos da restrição social, para 46 (31,5%), ficar em casa estava sendo estressante e angustiante. Conclusões: Os discentes apresentaram alterações nas áreas físicas, sociais e emocionais decorrentes do período de isolamento social.
