“Untested feasibility”, a Freirean concept, applied to subjects-company: a critical analysis of Emerson Dias’ book

Resumo: This essay aims to problematize how Paulo Freire’s concept “untested feasibility” is comprehended by Emerson Weslei Dias, an author from the business sector who wrote the book “O inédito viável” (“Untested Feasibility”).  By objectifying people as subjects-company, so as to make their own personal management more efficient and with fewer perfor-mance errors, Dias presents guidelines which offer great help to achieve personal dreams and have as much individual success as possible inside the knowledge-power-possession structures of our exclusionary society. However,  neither problematizing these structures nor proposing a col-lective exercise to generate actions to overcome its  practices  decreases the possibility of social changes.

Ao objetificar o ser humano a sujeito-empresa para uma gestão de si mais eficiente e com menos erros de execução para alçar mudanças, Dias oferta diretrizes com grande potencial para concretizar sonhos individuais, para as pessoas terem o maior sucesso possível dentro das estruturas de saber-poder-ter da nossa excludente realidade social.
