Resumo: A partir dos anos 1980, as pesquisas sobre a antiguidade da ocupação humana do continente americano são intensificadas no contexto da Amazônia Brasileira. Ocupações assim tão antigas (12.800-8.000 anos BP) se somam às críticas feitas ao modelo Clovis First e contribuem para a renovação dos modelos de povoamento. Neste trabalho serão apresentados os estudos tecnológicos das indústrias líticas da Caverna da Pedra Pintada (Monte Alegre) e das Grutas do Gavião e do Pequiá (Carajás). O método de análise segue os preceitos da Análise Tecnológica. Os resultados foram comparados intersítio e intrassítio a outras ocupações antigas do Brasil e da América do Sul.

Such ancient occupancies (12,800-8,000 yrs. B.P.) are added to the critics directed to the Clovis fist model and contribute for the peopling models renovation. In this paper we present the results from the technological analysis made over the archaeological sites: Caverna da Pedra Pintada (Monte Alegre), Grutas do Gavião e do Pequiá (Carajás). The method is based over the concepts from the Technological Analysis.
