Resumo: Resumo: O trabalho tem como intuito apresentar o desenvolvimento atual do projeto “Arqueologia e Educação: possibilidades de estudo sobre o passado da região de Poços de Caldas”, atualmente focado em ações educativas. Traz uma breve discussão sobre a cultura material como patrimônio arqueológico. Apresenta ações educativas realizadas pelo projeto com alunos do ensino fundamental II (6º ao 9º anos) de uma escola pública de Poços de Caldas. Demonstra os resultados parciais obtidos de uma sondagem realizada por meio da aplicação de um questionário voltado aos alunos. O objetivo foi aferir o que os alunos pensam e sabem sobre Arqueologia, sua importância, e se é possível realizá-la em Poços de Caldas e região. Abstract: The work has as purpose to present the current development of “Archaeology and Education: possibilities for studying the past of the region of Poços de Caldas project”, currently focused on educational actions. Presents educational activities realized by the project with students of the elementary school II (6th to 9th grade) in a public school located in Poços de Caldas. Shows the partial results of a survey answered by the targeted students. The objective was to measure what students think and know about Archeology, its importance, and the possibility to bring it to Poços de Caldas and region.
