Resumo: Brazil and Argentina possess some similarities in relationshipto economic and political history of the system of railroadtransport of goods. We propose a support to the followingquestions: the construction of the railroads (How had therailroads been constructed? Who has constructed therailroads?), the decay of the railroads (the competition withthe highways), the dynamic nationalization–privatization andthe geography of the railroads.
