Resumo: This research is designed as a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study and aimed at identifying the actions of permanent education in health that have been developed for the Comunity Health Agents (CHW), and specifically how they can influence their working process. The sample method of 26 subjects of two Family Health Strategy groups and the Community Health Agents Program in the city of Palmeira das Missões - Rio Grande do Sul was intentional. The analysis of data collected through questionnaire, allowed the construction of two thematic units: actions of permanent education; intersection of Permanent Education in Health and work process. It is concluded that the actions of Permanent Education is offered in two ways, both non-systematic, non-continuous basis and with a technical approach. With reference to the work process, they understand the permanent healthcare education as very important in problem solving and attention to users.

With reference to the work process, they understand the permanent healthcare education as very important in problem solving and attention to users.En esta investigación delineada como cualitativa, descriptiva y exploratoria, el objetivo fue conocer acciones de educación permanente en salud que son desarrolladas para los Agentes Comunitarios de Salud (ACS) y, específicamente, cómo estas pueden influenciar su proceso de trabajo. La muestra de 26 sujetos de dos grupos de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia y del Programa de Agentes Comunitarios de Salud del municipio de Palmeira das Missões – Rio Grande do Sul, ocurrió por el método intencional. El análisis de los datos, recogidos por medio de cuestionario, permitió la construcción de dos unidades temáticas: acciones de educación permanente; intersección entre Educación Permanente en Salud y proceso de trabajo. Se concluye que las acciones de Educación Permanente son ofrecidas de dos formas, ambas asistemáticas, no continuas y de base tecnicista. En referencia al proceso de trabajo, la Educación Permanente en Salud entiende estes como muy importantes en la resolución de problemas y en la atención a los usuarios.Nesta pesquisa, delineada como qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória, objetivou-se conhecer as ações de educação permanente em saúde que vêm sendo desenvolvidas para os Agentes Comunitários de Saúde (ACS) e, especificamente, como estas podem influenciar o seu processo de trabalho. A amostra de 26 sujeitos de duas equipes da Estratégia Saúde da Família e do Programa de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde do Município de Palmeira das Missões - Rio Grande do Sul ocorreu pelo método intencional. A análise dos dados, coletados por meio de questionário, permitiu a construção de duas unidades temáticas: ações de educação permanente; intersecção entre educação permanente em saúde e processo de trabalho. Conclui-se que as ações de educação permanente são ofertadas de duas formas, ambas assistemáticas, não contínuas e de base tecnicista.
