Resumo:  Given the fragmentation of the contemporary world and the rigid division of scientific work, which tend more and more specialties to which men are subordinate, losing its character of completeness, the concept of wholeness in Lukács could guide us to seek an order smooth, guided by an ethical corporate human-centered world of work and in all creative activity of men. I therefore consider that the current debate on ethics and freedom, the study of the Hungarian philosopher can bring an important contribution, where the work is emphasized from an ontological assumption. Rescuing the philosophical approach to the analysis of a topic that covers many areas of knowledge, Lukacs, it acknowledges that the character of this possibility in the realm of work that men could come to break the bonds of all forms unrelated to their gender, seeking new ways to be more and more empowered and autonomous, thereby conferring a particular focus on freedom.

Rescuing the philosophical approach to the analysis of a topic that covers many areas of knowledge, Lukacs, it acknowledges that the character of this possibility in the realm of work that men could come to break the bonds of all forms unrelated to their gender, seeking new ways to be more and more empowered and autonomous, thereby conferring a particular focus on freedom.  Diante da fragmentação do mundo contemporâneo e da rígida divisão do trabalho científico, que tendem cada vez mais para especializações às quais os homens se subordinam, perdendo o seu caráter de integralidade, a noção de totalidade em Lukács poderia nos orientar para a busca de uma ordem harmoniosa, pautada por uma ética humano-societária centrada no mundo do trabalho e em toda atividade criadora dos homens. Entendemos, assim, que no debate atual sobre Ética e da liberdade, o estudo deste filósofo húngaro pode nos trazer uma importante contribuição, onde o trabalho é enfatizado a partir de um pressuposto ontológico. Resgatando para a abordagem filosófica a análise de um tema que abrange várias áreas do conhecimento, Lukács, reconhece que é pelo caráter de possibilidade presente na esfera do trabalho que os homens poderiam vir a romper com as amarras de todas as formas estranhas a seu gênero, na busca de novas formas de ser cada vez mais emancipadas e autônomas, conferindo, assim, um enfoque particular à liberdade.
