Defesa: Curitiba, 09/12/2013Inclui referênciasÁrea de concentraçao: FilosofiaResumo: Ao analisar o texto de Pierre Aubenque A transformação cartesiana da concepção aristotélica de substância, deparamo-nos com a seguinte afirmação quando ele comenta a noção de substância cartesiana: "(...) encontra-se aqui a definição aristotélica da ousía [substância] como hypokeímenon [subjacente], mas com a diferença de que hypokeímenon não é mais dito existir por si, mas somente na medida em que existe ao menos um atributo para qualificá-lo." Há a ideia de que Descartes se apropria da noção de substância [ousía] aristotélica, porém ela existe como fundamento de um atributo, que para Descartes é o pensamento. Há aqui uma continuidade, pois considerar o termo "ousía" a título de "hypokeímenon", em Aristóteles, significa, segundo a leitura de Suzanne Mansion: "(...) a antinomia do Um e do Múltiplo que Aristóteles quis resolver graças à noção de substância." Ou seja, ele quis resolver com a noção de substância a pergunta pelo fundamento único que comanda toda a multiplicidade, e é o que aparentemente Descartes quer resolver com o "ego" substancializado. Nesse sentido, podemos considerar uma continuidade, pois Descartes ao transferir o "centro gravitacional" (de referência) para o ego, também o substancializa nos termos de uma "res cogitans". Aubenque, ao analisar a crítica que Kant, dirigida à noção de sujeito substancial cartesiana, propõe a seguinte questão: "Com efeito, por que supor uma substância atrás dos atributos, se a substância não é outra coisa que a essência, isto é, a unidade dos atributos essenciais ou, como diz Descartes, o ato que revela a essência?" Ele pergunta por que é necessário um substrato real que dê fundamento aos atributos, uma vez que esses são o próprio "ato que revela a essência". Há para Kant, nessa pergunta, uma posição fundamental de sua filosofia, na medida em que pretende liberar o sujeito de uma determinação ontológica precisa. Tal liberação ontológica é expressa por Kant quando ele comenta o lugar do juízo "eu penso" no início da crítica que dirige à substancialidade do "eu pensante", e indica tal conceito como: "presente em todo pensamento e independente de toda experiência", ou seja, uma mera condição lógica (e não ontológica). Isso leva a uma nova posição sobre o sujeito que podemos considerar. Examinar tal virada a favor de uma não-ontologia operada pela letra do texto kantiano é condição para entender como emerge uma subjetividade na sua filosofia. Porém, a liberação ontológica operada por Kant é no mínimo ambígua, pois ele permanece preso inquestionavelmente à concepção de "subjetividade" tal qual Descartes.Abstract: While analyzing Pierre Aubenque's text The Cartesian transformation of the Aristotelian conception of substance, we're faced with the following statement when he comments on the notion of Cartesian substance: "(…) here is found the Aristotelian definition of ousía [substance] as hypokeímenon [subjacent], but with the difference that hypokeímenon isn't said as existing by itself, only once there is at least one attribute to qualify it". There's the idea that Descartes appropriates the notion of Aristotelian substance [ousía], however it exists as an attribute's foundation, which for Descartes is thought. There's a continuity here, for considering the term "ousía" as "hypokeímenon", in Aristoteles, means, according to Suzanne Mansion's interpretation, "the antinomy of the One and the Multiple which Aristoteles wanted to solve thanks to the notion of substance". It means, he wanted to solve, with the notion of substance, the question about the unique foundation which commands the whole multiplicity, and that's apparently what Descartes wants to solve with the substantialized "self". In this way, we can consider a continuity, for when Descartes transfers the "gravitational center" (of reference) to the self he also substantializes it in accordance with a "res cogitans". Aubenque, while analyzing Kant's review about the Cartesian notion of substantial subject, comes up with the following question: "Indeed, why suppose a substance behind the attributes if substance isn't but essence, in other words, the unity of the essential attributes or, as Descartes states, the act which reveals essence?". He asks why a real substratum that bases attributes is necessary, once they're the "act which reveals essence" itself. For Kant this question contains a fundamental position of his philosophy, as long as it intends to release the subject from a precise ontological determination. Such ontological release is expressed by Kant when he comments on the place of the judgement "I think" in the beginning of the criticism he directs to the substantiality of the "I thinking", and points such concept as "present in every thought and independent of any experience", in other words, a mere logical condition (and not ontological). It takes us to a new position about the subject that we can consider. Examining such turning point in favor of a non-ontology operated by the letter of Kant's text is a prerequisite for understanding how subjectivity emerges in his philosophy.
