Resumo: | This article brings the results of a research that has seek to identify, firstly, which attributes are seriously taken into consideration by customers in banking services choice. Second, the research has aimed to figure out customer preferences for certain banking services. We have stratified the customers surveyed based on: income class, age, gender and education level. The research allowed the utility funcion estimation of customers surveyed through stated preference method. The attributes pointed out by costumers in banking services choice are: tariff, serving, trustfully, accessibility and institution flexibility. |

The attributes pointed out by costumers in banking services choice are: tariff, serving, trustfully, accessibility and institution flexibility.Este artigo relata os resultados de uma pesquisa que teve o intuito de identificar, em primeiro lugar, quais atributos são preponderantes na escolha de serviços bancários na visão do cliente. Em segundo lugar, o objetivo da pesquisa foi de verificar a preferência do cliente por determinada alternativa de serviços de um banco. Os clientes foram segmentados em diversos extratos: de acordo com a renda, com a idade, com o sexo e com o nível de instrução. A pesquisa permitiu a estimação da função utilidade dos clientes entrevistados, através do método da preferência declarada. Os principais atributos apontados pelos clientes na escolha de serviços bancários foram: a tarifa dos serviços, a acessibilidade, o atendimento, a confiabilidade e a flexibilidade da instituição.
