EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIPS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF BUSINESSES WITH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN BRAZIL

Resumo: Despite the large amount of studies published on entrepreneurship, one of its modalities, social entrepreneurship, still has not gained prominence and presents very few publications in Brazil. In regards to this necessity, the objective in this article is to explore the indicators of national entrepreneurship activity that reflect social entrepreneurship activity (SEA - Social Entrepreneurship Activity). In order to accomplish this study, 4.000 interviews were accomplished in national homes, in the which the establishment of the sample was random, the trust level was 95% and the sample error 1,04%. The sample also respected all the geographical areas of the country and the composition of the population in gender, age, goods and education terms. In the statistical analysis of the data, the test χ ² (Chi-square) and T-test were used to verify the relationship among the several variables. It was verified that the conventional entrepreneurship reflects the social entrepreneurship activity in relation to the demographic aspects at gender, instruction degree and income. Also, the social entrepreneurship activity is larger among individuals that are entrepreneurs - mainly among entrepreneurship for opportunity – than the ones that are not. Therefore, the creation of ventures of social character reflects the national entrepreneurship activity.

Atendiendo a esa demanda, el objetivo expuesto en el regalo artículo es descubrir si la actividad emprendedora social (SEA – Social Entrepreneurship Activity) refleja los indicadores de la actividad emprendedora nacional. Habían sido realizadas 4.000 entrevistas en domicilios nacionales, en las cuales el establecimiento de la muestra fue probabilista, con nivel de confianza de 95% y error de muestra de 1,04%, reflejando todas las regiones geográficas del país y la composición de la población en términos de género, edad, renta y escolaridad. En el análisis estadística de los dados, se utilizó el test ?² (Jue-cuadrado) y el test-T para verificar la relación entre las diversas variables. Se verificó que el emprendedorismo convencional repercute en la actividad emprendedora social en relación a los aspectos demográficos, como género, grado de instrucción y renta. Además, la actividad emprendedora social es mayor entre individuos que son emprendedores – sobre todo entre emprendedores por oportunidad – que aquellos que no son. Por lo tanto, la creación de emprendimientos de carácter social refleja la actividad emprendedora nacional.Apesar da quantidade de estudos publicados sobre empreendedorismo, uma de suas modalidades, empreendedorismo social, ainda não ganhou devido destaque, apresentando pouquíssimas publicações no Brasil. Atendendo a essa demanda, o objetivo exposto no presente artigo é descobrir se a taxa de atividade do empreendedorismo social (SEA – Social Entrepreneurship Activity) reflete os indicadores da atividade empreendedora nacional. Foram realizadas 4.000 entrevistas em domicílios nacionais, nas quais o estabelecimento da amostra foi probabilístico, com nível de confiança de 95% e erro amostral de 1,04%, refletindo todas as regiões geográficas do país e a composição da população em termos de gênero, idade, renda e escolaridade. Na análise estatística dos dados, utilizou-se o teste χ² (Qui-quadrado) e o teste-T para verificar o relacionamento entre as diversas variáveis. Verificou-se que o empreendedorismo convencional repercute na atividade empreendedora social em relação aos aspectos demográficos, como gênero, grau de instrução e renda. Além disso, a atividade empreendedora social é maior entre indivíduos que são empreendedores – principalmente entre empreendedores por oportunidade – do que aqueles que não são.
