THE INFLUENCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR AND ITS RELATION WITH CARE QUALITY

Resumo: This article aims to investigate the influence of organizational culture on the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and quality of care, along with employees in the medical, nursing and care support areas of different hospital units. To this end, a descriptive, quantitative research was carried out, carried out through a survey, with employees from the aforementioned areas of hospitals in the EBSERH Network. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, using the SmartPLS® software. As a result, the predominance of a hierarchical organizational culture was noticed in all the hospitals surveyed and its influence on the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviors and quality of care by confirming the presence of the dimensions Conscientiousness and Spirit of Initiative. It is hoped that the results found will guide health area managers in the formulation of strategies to mobilize the teams regarding the dimensions that presented negative results and that they will motivate further research on the subject studied.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación descriptiva, cuantitativa, realizada a través de una encuesta, con los empleados de las mencionadas áreas de los hospitales de la Red EBSERH. Los datos fueron analizados utilizando el método de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (PLS), utilizando el software SmartPLS®. Como resultado, se percibió el predominio de una cultura organizacional jerarquizada en todos los hospitales investigados y su influencia en la relación entre los comportamientos de ciudadanía organizacional y la calidad de la atención al confirmarse la presencia de las dimensiones Conciencia y Espíritu de Iniciativa. Se espera que los resultados encontrados orienten a los gestores de áreas de salud en la formulación de estrategias para movilizar los equipos frente a las dimensiones que presentaron resultados negativos y que motiven más investigaciones sobre el tema estudiado.Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar a influência da cultura organizacional sobre a relação entre o comportamento de cidadania organizacional e a qualidade assistencial junto a colaboradores das áreas médica, de enfermagem e de apoio assistencial de diferentes unidades hospitalares. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva, de natureza quantitativa, concretizada por meio de uma survey, junto a colaboradores das áreas citadas de hospitais da rede Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares (EBSERH). Os dados foram analisados por meio do método de Partial Least Squares (PLS), através do software SmartPLS®. Como resultado, percebeu-se a predominância da cultura organizacional do tipo hierárquica em todos os hospitais pesquisados e a sua influência na relação entre os comportamentos de cidadania organizacional e qualidade assistencial, ao confirmar a presença das dimensões conscienciosidade e espírito de iniciativa.
