Resumo: This study was aimed at examining the use of interactive multimedia for the theoretical-practical teaching of Semiology in Nursing. It was developed at the Nursing School Alfredo Pinto, Universidade Federal do Estado de Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 2004 to June 2005, with fifth semester students. Opinion forms following the structured interview technique were used to collect the data. The results showed that nursing students think interactive multimedia is an instrument that enhances teaching, making possible the interaction of sounds and images. It represents an element directed at audiovisual senses, optimizing their performance during the patient’s physical exam and care.

Fue desarrollado en la Facultad de Enfermería Alfredo Pinto de la Universidad Federal del Estado de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, en el período que va de agosto de 2004 a junio de 2005, con los alumnos del quinto período. Adoptamos como procedimientos para la recolección de datos un formulario para conocer la opinión de los entrevistados, usando para esto la técnica de entrevista con guión estructurado. Los resultados mostraron que los académicos de enfermería evidenciaron los multimedios interactivos como un instrumento que aplica la dinámica de la enseñanza y hace posible la interacción de sonidos e imágenes, transformándose en un elemento impregnado de los sentidos audiovisuales, perfeccionando así la acción de los estudiantes en el examen físico y en el cuidado al paciente.Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o uso da multimidia interativa para o ensino teórico-prático de Semiologia em Enfermagem. Foi desenvolvida na Escola de Enfermagem Alfredo Pinto da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, no período de agosto de 2004 a junho de 2005, junto aos acadêmicos do quinto período. Adotamos como procedimentos para coleta de dados o uso de formulário para levantamento de opinião, com a técnica de entrevista com roteiro estruturado.
