Early childhood education and fund policy: how has this educational level been going, especially with the approval of Fundeb?

Resumo: This article explores partial results of interinstitutional research on the situation of basic education in Brazilian cities. In this case, we deal with the situation of early childhood education, the first stage of basic education, and its relations with Fundeb. When demonstrating the growth of enrollments, especially in pre-school, we dialogue with other aspects related to the quality of this education. Despite an enormous effort to increase the supply, regional, ethnic and economic inequalities persist. In any case, the significant expansion of vacancies encourages us to continue moving towards the conquest of Caqi and CAQ.

Neste caso, tratamos da situação da educação infantil, primeira etapa da educação básica, e suas relações com o Fundeb. Ao demonstrar o crescimento das matrículas, especialmente na pré-escola, dialogamos com outros aspectos relacionados à qualidade dessa educação. Apesar de um enorme esforço para o aumento da oferta, as desigualdades regionais, étnicas e econômicas persistem.
