Resumo: This paper proposes to create a theory of cyberculture as technologic imaginary. It aims to investigate how the cyberculture constitutes itself in a coherent world view, describing some of the main cultural representations that have been surrounding the digital technologies. At the same time, it suggests the constitution of a theory of cyberculture based in three episthemological processes: I) analysis of the links between materialities and technological imaginaries, II) archeology of the media and III) adoption of a “culturalist” view.

Pretende investigar de que modo la cibercultura se constituye en una visión del mundo coherente, describiendo algunas de las principales representaciones culturales que acompañan a las tecnologías digitales. Al mismo tiempo sugiere la constitución de una teoría de la cibercultura fundada en tres procedimientos epistemológicos: I) el análisis de las relaciones entre las materialidades y los imaginarios tecnológicos, II) la arqueología de los medios, y III) la adopción de una visión “culturalista”.Este trabalho propõe a elaboração de uma teoria da cibercultura como imaginário tecnológico.
