Resumo: This paper is an analysis of the sliding of meanings in the discourse “against modern football” in the Cenas lamentaveis fanpage. Through Discourse analysis, we investigate the possibility of breaking the hegemonic order regarding sport and gender. It is observed that, although the discourse tries to break with some regions of meaning about football today, it does so insufficiently to classify itself as resistance. Reproduce some asymmetrical power relations between genders, materialized by legitimation of dominant masculinities, related to physical strength, courage and manliness, and by distancing from attributes that are normatively considered feminine, such as sensitivity.

Por meio de análise de discurso pecheutiana, investiga-se a hipótese de rompimento de ordem hegemônica no que diz respeito a esporte e gênero. Observa-se que, apesar de o discurso de Cenas lamentáveis tentar romper com algumas regiões de sentido sobre o futebol da atualidade, o faz de forma insuficiente para classificar-se como resistência. Reproduz algumas relações assimétricas de poder entre gêneros, materializadas em expressões de masculinidades dominantes no espaço do futebol.
