Information female empowerment in Instagram: study from feminist collectives

Resumo: | The space of empowerment is considered to be the space to re-signify, construct, and reconstruct representations and identities traversed by social representations, historically generated in society. three groups of women who work to build a democratic society with gender equality are analyzed, based on new narratives, women linked to the university; to the market; without a structural link. The objective is to analyze how the digital social network Instagram became a space of empowerment and feminist identity. For this, semi-structured interviews with women who made up the coordination and management of profiles on Instagram were used as data collection instruments. To analyze and treat the data, we opted for the Collective Subject Discourse Analysis, a method that consists of rescuing significant social representations present. The study indicated that Instagram corresponds to the points exposed and understood as a place of information and empowerment and that collectives served to give voice to the identity of women as feminists and maximize their actions on Instagram, allowing a space of collective representation and agency, in which they use information as an imperative for the relationship of a political and social subjectivity with awareness actions promoting the empowerment of women. |

Analisa-se três coletivos de mulheres que atuam em prol de uma sociedade democrática e com igualdade de gênero, com base em novas narrativas, sendo mulheres vinculadas à universidade e ao mercado, sem vínculo estrutural. Objetiva-se analisar como a rede social digital Instagram constituiu um espaço de empoderamento feminino. Para isso, utilizam-se como instrumentos de coleta de dados entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais com mulheres que compunham a coordenação e o gerenciamento dos perfis no Instagram. Para analisar e tratar os dados, optou-se pela Análise do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, um método que consiste em resgatar representações sociais significativas presentes. O estudo indicou que o Instagram é compreendido como um lugar de informação e empoderamento.
