Resumo: The objective is to build a synoptic frame of reference about the co-creation of value in informational services considering the user perspective, therefore improving the understanding of the co-creation process due to user actions. It is justified by the reduced number of related research and limited understanding of how the co-creation of value in libraries occurs, particularly considering the user's actions, since the studies tend to focus on the service provider. It is a theoretical essay, whose nature is conceptual and analytical. As a result, it is expected that the frame of reference presented contribute to the theoretical advance and further development of studies that allow the investigation of the processes/elements of co-creation of value by users.

Justifica-se pela carência e insipiência no entendimento de como ocorre a co-criação de valor em bibliotecas, principalmente sobre o viés da participação do usuário, já que predominantemente os estudos se voltam para o provedor de serviços. Trata-se de um ensaio teórico, cuja natureza é conceitual e analítica.
