Resumo: This paper discusses the concept of “transposition”, common in the literature on news mediation, especially the latest, consisting of digital technologies. Based on literature review, there is a relative abundance of work on modes of news production and the scarcity of studies that effectively investigate the reader and reading. The conclusion is that the concept of transposition appears to be inadequate in relation to the reader’s experience in dealing with media and texts, new or traditional.

Una revisión de la literatura indica que hay una abundancia relativa de trabajos sobre los modos de producción de noticias y una escasez de estudios que investiguen de manera efectiva el lector y la lectura. La conclusión és que el concepto de transposición parece ser insuficiente en relación con la experiencia del lector en el trato con los medios de comunicación y los textos, nuevos o tradicionales.Este trabalho discute o conceito de “transposição”, recorrente na literatura sobre mediações jornalísticas, especialmente as mais recentes, constituídas por tecnologias digitais. Com base em revisão bibliográfica, verifica-se a relativa abundância de trabalhos sobre modos de produção jornalística e a escassez de estudos que, efetivamente, investiguem o leitor e a leitura.
