Resumo: | The user can be considered an important source of information for libraries with regard to the elaboration and direction of products and services developed for him, especially if he is a person with a disability. However, despite the recommendation and guidance in the literature, this user is still not served as expected with regard to access and accessibility in the library. From this perspective, the objective was to know, together with nine users with disabilities, the relationship between them and libraries, from childhood to the current stage, and how, in their view, library professionals could offer more inclusive services. As a library user study, the construction of this text was sought through a theoretical framework that brought together materials in portuguese, without a time frame, associated with the recording of videos carried out by the guest users themselves. The results showed two situations in the same reality: on the one hand, users who found support for their development in school libraries; on the other hand, those who only knew it in Higher Education, when they unite in pointing out that the university library offers better conditions for use and frequency, even in the midst of some difficulties. The study allowed us to conclude that this relationship can be satisfactory at several points, especially if the information user is heard and collaborates in its inclusive process in libraries. |

Sin embargo, a pesar de las recomendaciones y orientaciones de la literatura, este usuario aún no recibe la atención esperada en cuanto al acceso y accesibilidad en la biblioteca. Desde esta perspectiva, el objetivo era conocer, junto a nueve usuarios con discapacidad, la relación entre ellos y las bibliotecas, desde la infancia hasta la etapa actual, y cómo, a su juicio, los profesionales bibliotecarios podrían ofrecer servicios más inclusivos. Como estudio de caso, se buscó la construcción de este texto a través de un referencial teórico que reunió materiales en portugués, sin marco temporal, asociados a la grabación de videos realizada por los propios usuarios invitados. Los resultados mostraron dos situaciones en una misma realidad: por un lado, los usuarios que encontraron apoyo para su desarrollo en las bibliotecas escolares; por otro lado, quienes sólo lo conocieron en la Educación Superior, cuando se unen en señalar que la biblioteca universitaria ofrece mejores condiciones de uso y frecuencia, aún en medio de algunas dificultades. El estudio permitió concluir que esta relación puede ser satisfactoria en varios puntos, especialmente si el usuario de la información es escuchado y colabora en su proceso inclusivo en las bibliotecas.O usuário pode ser considerado uma fonte de informação importante para as bibliotecas no que diz respeito à elaboração e ao direcionamento de produtos e serviços desenvolvidos para ele, principalmente se for uma pessoa com deficiência. No entanto, apesar da recomendação e orientação na literatura, esse usuário ainda não é atendido como esperado no que se refere ao acesso e acessibilidade na biblioteca. Sob essa perspectiva, objetivou-se conhecer, junto a nove usuários com deficiência, a relação entre eles e as bibliotecas, desde a infância até a fase atual, e como, na visão deles, os profissionais da biblioteca poderiam oferecer atendimentos mais inclusivos. Como um estudo de usuários, buscou-se a construção do presente texto por meio de um referencial teórico que reuniu materiais em língua portuguesa, sem recorte temporal, associados à gravação de vídeos realizada pelos próprios usuários convidados. Os resultados apontaram duas situações em uma mesma realidade: de um lado, usuários que encontraram, nas bibliotecas escolares, apoio para seu desenvolvimento; por outro lado, os que a conheceram apenas no Ensino Superior, momento em que se unem ao apontar que a biblioteca universitária oferece melhores condições de uso e frequência, mesmo em meio a algumas dificuldades.
