Resumo: Aims to analyze the possibilities offered by linguistic pragmatics in the improving of readers, both in conventional texts, and textual new forms that media offer. The target to be heated home is the readers’ educators, as well as all those persons who are interested in improving themselves inthe act of reading. Under theoretical point of view, austinian resources in linguistic pragmatics are used, as well as those of phenomenology, especially those performed in post-modernity, without to become distant of theaim of the article, that is, the formation of readers.

O texto se propõe a analisar as possibilidades oferecidas pela pragmática linguística na qualificação de leitores, tanto de textos convencionais, quanto das novas formas textuais que os meios de comunicação oferecem. O público-alvo são os formadores de leitores, bem como todos os interessados em aperfeiçoar-se no ato de ler, em sentido amplo. Sob o ponto devista teórico, utilizaram-se os aportes da pragmática linguística austiniana e de algumas ferramentas advindas da fenomenologia, sobretudo na forma praticada na pós-modernidade, sem se desviar do escopo do artigo, que é a formação de leitores.
