School knowledge: cultural selection processes and didactic mediation

Resumo: First of all, in this article, we question the homology between erudite culture and dominant culture. We defend perspectives that admit the existence of the social division of knowledge: erudite culture, popular culture. Secondly, we analyse cultural selection processes, considering the school knowledge as a field of conflicts and agreements, that not necessarily define an universal knowledge, erudite and / or scientific. Finally, we question the interpretation of school knowledge as a "bridge" able to mask the rupture between everyday knowledge and scientific knowledge and therefore we defend that the processes of didactic mediation are themselves built on their own cognitive configurations which not always make public the private scientific knowledge to certain social groups.

Em seguida, analisamos os processos de seleção cultural, considerando o conhecimento escolar como campo de acordos e conflitos, não necessariamente garantidores de um saber sistematizado universal, erudito e / ou científico. Por fim, questionamos a concepção do conhecimento escolar como uma "ponte" capaz de mascarar a ruptura entre conhecimentos cotidianos e científicos.
