Resumo: Considering centraiissues of the post-structuralist versions of Cultural Studies and Foucault'spropositions, I have questioned the body/organism binary system established under theBiology regime. The discursive practices of the subjects, by legitimating the "true"knowledge, disregard the other types of knowledge, the "false" knowledge. They haveacted more on the regulation and control of people than on the production of relevantknowledge. From the narratives of Biology teachers on meaningful moments in life, Ihave attempted to look at the bodies, beyond the Biology regime, and perceive howother cultural practices have been acting on the change of human materiality into whatwe call the body, especially, in this study, the Woman, the Mother, the Feminine, andquestion these stereotypes that precede and traverse the bodies, making up the people.
