This paper has as main objective to reflect on the musical education of autistic. Suggesting an approach to music education for this student profile in a non -formal environment. For this, presents concepts and classifications related to autism and music education, discusses a methodology and enforces the same with reflections based on the author's teaching practice and professional interviewed. The proposal is suggested under a practical bias and points to the permanent updating teacher. Restricting the search to a portion of that restlessness, wondering what are the complicating factors of teaching music in that context, defining the geographical scope of observation to the city of Natal - RN. Identifying these three factors. The first was the realization that there are few professionals who work with music education for autistic students. The second factor proved to be the need for adapting general methods of working with said profile for the specific teaching students of music. And finally, the third factor is the lack of criteria for s election and grading of the musical content to be taught to students with this profile. From this observation, we designed a project that is dedicated to investigate the issues involved in music education for autism. The project aims to indicate and support future to bring legal actions facilitate and popularize the teachi ng of music to students with Autistc Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , assisting in their inclusion in educational spaces common to students not autistic.
