Resumo: Considering the child as a human being able to develop from stimuli, consisting of cognitive and affective aspects and the institution of early childhood education as a place where she spends much of her time, we understand that the role of this is also to promote child development and learning based on affectivity, stimulating feelings, expressions and attitudes as well as enabling the construction of knowledge. Thus, the present work is characterized as a scientific article, with the purpose of ascertaining the contributions of affectivity in the process of learning and development in early childhood education. Discussing the contributions of the emotions, from a literary and theoretical analysis based on the studies of Henri Wallon (1975, 1986, 1971, 1995), Casvão (2009), Galvão (1995), Dantas (1990, 1992) on the subject and will have a qualitative, bibliographical methodology, characterized by a research based on the official documents of early childhood education, the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Early Childhood Education (1996) and the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education (1998). Thus, we conclude that the affectivity revealed through the emotions must be valued and understood, helping the work of the teachers, being of great value to know and approach the child, that can develop in a comprehensive, integral way. In this way, affectivity is an essential component in the school environment, establishing relations of exchange in the situations of their day to day.

In this way, affectivity is an essential component in the school environment, establishing relations of exchange in the situations of their day to day.Considerando a criança como ser humano capaz de se desenvolver a partir de estímulos, constituído por aspectos cognitivos e afetivos e a instituição de educação infantil como um local onde ela passa grande parte do seu tempo, compreendemos que o papel dessa é também promover o desenvolvimento infantil e as aprendizagens baseando-se na afetividade, no estimulo de sentimentos, expressões e atitudes assim como possibilitar a construção de conhecimentos. Desse modo, o presente trabalho caracteriza-se como um artigo cientifico, tendo como objetivo apurar o papel da afetividade no processo de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento na educação infantil. Discutindo as contribuições das emoções, a partir de uma análise literária e teórica com base nos estudos de Henri Wallon (1975; 1986; 1971; 1995), Casassus (2009), Galvão (1995), Dantas (1990; 1992) sobre o tema e terá a metodologia qualitativa, de cunho bibliográfico, caracterizado por uma pesquisa baseada nos documentos oficiais da educação infantil, Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Infantil (1996) e Referencial Curricular Nacional para a Educação Infantil (1998). Assim, concluímos que a afetividade revelada através das emoções deve ser valorizada e entendida, auxiliando o trabalho dos professores, sendo de grande valia para conhecer e aproximar-se da criança, que poderá desenvolver-se de forma ampla, de forma integral.
