Introduction: In order to develop interventions aimed at improving participation levels, it is fundamental to know negative aspects of the environment (barriers), as well as facilitating factors to improve participation at home, at school and in the community. With this concern came the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (CIF), to describe, assess the health and disability of an individual. In clinical practice, ICF can be used to guide the evaluation, planning and treatment process, using different instruments, used to cover the various concepts of the model. Objective: To investigate the participation and environmental barriers of children and adolescents with physical disabilities in household tasks. Methodology: The study involved a convenience sample of 20 people (children and adolescents). Parents or guardians answered the questionnaire CHORES (Child Support: Responsibility, Expectation and Support) and the Craig Hospital Inventory of Environmental Factors (CHIEF) questionnaire to assess the influence of the environment on child and adolescent participation. Results: According to table 5, there was no significant statistical difference for any of the correlations between the proposed domains. Besides the correlation, the relationship between sex and locomotion was analyzed according to the domains of the questionnaire CHORES (Children Helping: Responsibility, Expectation and Support), performance, assistance and independence. All the results of the table showed values of "p> 0.05", not also showing a statistically significant effect. Conclusion: This study served to awaken the importance of research in this area, to seek attention to the health of people and a look that values the human being in an important aspect of life, health and its functionality.
