Resumo: This paper aims to present an experience report on the Music Theory teaching in an Non Governmental Organization, the Proarte, institution characterized by being part of a differentiated teaching context that seeks to invest primarily in the social aspect . This report is related approaches to music education today that have to be directly connected to l ocal culture of each individual and brings the figure of the music business in these contexts in which the music is only as a teaching tool because the ultimate goal is investment in citizen. Its theoretical references studies related to music education area and non- formal teaching contexts such as NGOs . The object of research is to describe the methodological actions performed during the months from March to July of this year in PROARTE , focusing on classes Music Theory and the development of a focused practice to the experiences of the contents, where students are challenged to unite theory and practice in a continuous exchange of experiences , creations and discoveries. And the results point to ways to rethink the formation of Music Theory of teachers in different contexts and where the the learning of musical language becomes more enjoyable and dynamic.

Este relato faz abordagens relacionadas ao ensino de música na atualidade que precisa estar diretamente ligado a cultura local de cada indivíduo e traz a figura do profissional de música nestes contextos em que a música se constitui apenas como uma ferramenta de ensino, pois o objetivo maior é o investimento no cidadão. Tem como referenciais teóricas estudos relacionados à área de educação musical e aos contextos de ensinos não formais como as ONGs. O objeto de pesquisa pretende descrever as ações metodológicas executadas durante os meses de março a julho do presente ano no PROARTE, tendo como foco aulas de Teoria Musical e o desenvolvimento de uma prática voltada para as vivências dos conteúdos, onde os alunos são desafiados a unirem teoria e prática em uma troca contínua de experiências, criações e descobertas.
