Análise metrológica e mecânica de componentes de sistemas de fixação utilizados nas osteossínteses de cirurgias buco-maxilo-faciais

Resumo: | Objective: This study aims to evaluate the physical properties of plates and screws three trademarks, used in rigid internal fixation of facial fractures and osteotomies. Methods: 30 plates and 30 screws, divided among the trademarks BioMKTM, Engimplan® and W. OsteoMedTM , belonging 2.0 mm and 1.5 mm systems will be used. The groups have undergone laboratory testing and the flexural strength tests and metrology analysis of standardization and accuracy. The results obtained in the study were subjected to the Kruskal-Wallis Test, Mann-Whitney and Tukey the 1% significance level, to evaluate the relation between the groups. Results: It can be observed that in the metrology analysis of standardization and accuracy of the plates there was no statistically significant difference between commercial brands analyzed, but already the screws was no statistically significant difference between OsteoMedTM brand and the other two brands, both 2.0 mm system as in System 1.5 mm. With respect to flexural strength can observe a statistically significant difference between brands of plates, on all systems, since the screws there was no statistically significant difference between the 2.0 mm System brands, but at 1.5 mm system. All trademarks that had better results in the macroscopic analysis of standardization and accuracy necessarily had better results in bending tests in their respective systems. Conclusion: Thus we can conclude that not there is a system with better results in all parameters, but there is a clear relationship between the standardization and accuracy of systems with its resistance to flexion, which will certainly reflect in a more efficient surgical procedure and prognosis more favorable. |

Método: Foram utilizadas 30 placas e 30 parafusos, divididos entre as marcas comerciais BioMKTM , Engimplan® e OsteoMedTM , pertencentes aos sistemas de 2,0 mm e 1,5 mm. Os grupos passaram por análise metrológica de padronização e precisão e ensaios laboratoriais de testes de resistência ao dobramento. Os resultados obtidos nos estudos foram submetidos a Testes de Kruskal-Wallis, MannWhitney e Tukey ao nível de significância de 1%, para avaliar qual a relação entre os grupos. Resultados: Pode-se observar que na análise metrológica de padronização e precisão das placas não houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre as marcas comerciais analisadas, mas já nos parafusos houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre a marca OsteoMedTM e as outras duas marcas, tanto no sistema 2.0 mm quanto no sistema 1.5 mm. Com relação à resistência ao dobramento pode-se observar que houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre as marcas das placas, em todos os sistemas, já nos parafusos não houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre as marcas do sistema 2.0 mm, mas sim no sistema 1.5 mm. Todas as marcas comerciais que tiveram melhores resultados na análise metrológica de padronização e precisão tiveram necessariamente melhores resultados nos testes de dobramento nos seus respectivos sistemas.
