Resumo: This research conducted a study at the music school of the Assembly of God Evangelical Church in Rio Grande do Norte aiming to show the relevance of collective classes of a musical instrument for the development of learning. For this, a survey was conducted with the aid of a questionnaire for the keyboard teacher and for 16 out of his 26 keyboard students of the music school. The survey investigated how the keyboard group lessons happen, analyzing the methodology applied in the classroom by the teacher, his role within the learning environment, the self-perception that students have of their own musical development, interaction and autonomy of students in the classroom and the construction of a collaborative learning environment. It was evident that, even in a heterogeneous environment, where personal interests and objectives are varied in musical learning, the methodology used by the teacher accords to the needs of the group, since the students' responses were positive when aske d if they were satisfied with what they was taught and how it was done. Thus, it can be concluded that this research has achieved its main objective, since important points were raised and evaluated regarding the collective learning and data analyzed show how collective learning relevant to the students' musical development.

Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento de dados através da aplicação de questionários para o professor de teclado e para 16 dos 26 alunos do curso de teclado da escola de música. A Pesquisa investigou como acontecem as aulas coletivas de teclado, analisando a metodologia aplicada em sala pelo professor, seu papel dentro do ambiente de aprendizado, a percepção que os alunos têm de seu próprio desenvolvimento musical, a questão da interação e da autonomia dos alunos em sala e a construção de um ambiente colaborativo de aprendizado. Evidenciou-se que, mesmo em um ambiente heterogêneo, onde interesses e objetivos pessoais no aprendizado musical são variados, a metodologia utilizada pelo professor atende às necessidades da turma, uma vez que as respostas dos alunos foram positivas quando questionados se estavam satisfeitos com o que lhes era ensinado e forma de como era ensinado.
